I can't even find a good quote about the month ofSeptember, but i do know that it's the end of summer and encompasses the beginning of fall and what a beautiful sight it is...another summer to an end and another fall in it's beginnings...how quickly it goes, but what a beauty, what a beauty.....

So another place that we visited while in Virginia was to my parents "new" house, in Clifton Forge, that they bought a couple years ago and have been renovating it bit by bit so it is ready to move into in a year or so.
The first picture is of the house itself, which was built in 1914 by Dr. Revercomb. He was the local doctor in Clifton Forge and had it built so he could actually see his patients inside his home, which was common at that time. My parents are the 5th homeowner of this house, which is hard to believe after almost 100 years!!
You can see one of the before and after photos of my mothers kitchen, it's been alot of work for them, but they enjoy it!!
They have a nice garden in the back yard which is where the basket of vegetables came from, we ate most of them for dinner with our brats and potato salad...
Lastly is their most recent purchase, which is the 1930 Ford T model car!! Can you believe it!! I think they are trying to go back in time wouldn't you say!! Dr. Revercomb was actually one of the first car owners in the area so he could make house calls to his patients if they were unable to come to the house!! It's very exciting to see all the hard work they've put into it and i look forward to seeing the finished product;).....now if i can only get them to a a computer................Have a great week everybody ;)

I have a lot of family that is there and maybe one day we'll return... Until then i will bring back some photos of my own, these photos are from photobucket, but they still deliver what i hope to show, which is the beauty from virginia. With love from the mountains, rivers, trees, and valleys of Southwest VA!

So the other day i was out for a walk and i noticed that the tree that i was looking at , at the very very top was already starting to change color!!! I was shocked because i thought being down in South Carolina and it being so hot that trees changing would be the last thing on the list!! I couldn't believe it...So i went right home and looked up photos of my backporch right when spring started, i can't believe in a month or so all the vinca, petunias, begonias, & portulaca will be replaced with mums....another season is unwinding......

Just happened to go outside, with camera in tow.., and who did i find!! Lizzy! I had a little help from Audrey with the name, thanks Audrey!!! When ahead and took another picture, this time she was by my fern. I guess to her my screened porch is like a huge terrarium!! Thought about giving her a small piece of cherry, but you know what they say about feeding the wild :( She seems to like getting photographed, i was pretty close to her with the camera, guess she likes the "lime"light...!! Happy Friday :)

over the past few weeks, i would go on my back patio to water my plants and notice this little gal hanging out. At first i didn't think anything of it, but i would keep noticing her every time i would go out back. Sometimes she would be on the wall, or hiding in a plant or crawling on the ground. I guess she has been getting so used to seeing me that she has become less and less afraid of me being near. One time i was sitting on our back porch and she casually just meandered across the patio table, the very same one i was sitting on!! Like she was taking a walk and just wanted to say hi. I can get pretty close to her without scaring her off. I can't say for sure if it's the same gal, but my instinct tells me it is. I'm almost positive it's a female, because the male version has this flap that exudes from underneath it's mouth when it's irritated or "in the mood" ( i looked that fact up online) & i have yet to see it... So, I've been kinda liking seeing my "friend" out back and will try to get more pictures of her ...in the mean time...what's a good name for our new little pet??????

So we finally got our tree!! Hopefully it will make it! The tree will bleach out eventually when the sun gets to it. The root ball of a palmetto acutally grows out, not down like most trees. It is also very sensitive to weather ups and downs.. I hope you enjoy, i've very proud that i got the sunlight in the reflection after the new tree was put up.. it shows a new day for a new tree... until next time...HAPPY TUESDAY!!

Today was a slow starting day :( I did however get in alot of movies and food network time today! I was going to take a picture of our new tree, but unfortunately the rain was consistent and didn't want to budge for the sun, so i will wait until i have another opportunity! Hopefully everyone had a great weekend and luckily i have tomorrow off so i can pick up my honey from the airport and possibly take a picture of the tree :) anyways, till next time au revoir... ;)
